Frequently Asked Questions

How can I get started?

First, I encourage you to review the Neuroplastic Pain Checklist to see if you might be a good fit for pain reprocessing work. Then, if you would like to schedule a coaching call with me, please fill out the contact form. I look forward to connecting with you!

How does it work?

Pain reprocessing is hard work but we will work as a team to teach your brain how to interpret signals from the body appropriately and without fear.  Based on your symptoms and history, I will customize a personalized treatment plan to retrain your nervous system and alleviate your neuroplastic symptoms.  We will practice the techniques together in session, giving you the confidence to apply them as needed on your own.

Note that this is not a quick fix, and requires hard work to adopt a total mindset shift.  Your brain has developed chronic pain as a habit, and habits can be hard to break. But it is worth it!

Where do we meet? Can I have online sessions?

All sessions are virtual and I will work with you to find a time that works for both of us.

How much does it cost?

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation to review your pain history and answer any questions about pain coaching. Then, if you are interested in scheduling a coaching session, the cost would be $60 for a 50 minute session. Payments can be made via Venmo or PayPal.

How long does it take?

How many sessions you will need varies for each person but the best results typically come with around 8-12 sessions. I recommend meeting once a week if your schedule allows it. I don't recommend meeting less than once a month to ensure you are dedicating sufficient time to challenge learned patterns.

Do you take insurance?

No, unfortunately, insurance does not cover coaching.

Where were you trained?

I was trained by the Pain Reprocessing Center and am listed in their directory of pain coaches.

I have had pain for many months or years, can this treatment still help me?

The longer you have had symptoms the longer your brain has had the chance to strengthen those neural pathways. However, this does NOT mean you won't be successful with pain reprocessing. As long as you are open and committed to changing your relationship with your pain, it does not matter how long you have had symptoms.
